Liberal Media Censorship In Action

I was sent this message about video that was suppressed by threat of law suit by Time Warner at the behest of liberal media supporters of the Democrat party and supporters of the Obama campaign:

Object: The video clip that was not allowed in the USA - Pass this on to everyone.

This video shows that George Bush tried to warn Congress starting in 2001 that this economic crisis was coming, if something was not done. But congress refused to listen, along with Barney Frank. This video says it all.

The liberal AMERICAN media did not want this video on You Tube, so they had Time Warner threaten a law suit (proprietary rights) if it was not taken off.

Of course this comes as no surprise.
The media has been unusually hard on John McCain.
The Politico reported:

Just 14 percent of the stories about John McCain from the conventions through the final presidential debate were positive in tone,
according to a study released today, while nearly 60 percent were
negative—the least favorable coverage of any of the 4 candidates on the
ticket.

This election has been hijacked but not by Obama or his staff. The perpetrator is the Main Stream Media. The media is going to elect a man they have not investigated at all. They are not doing it out of malice but out of a desire to write stories about the healing of America's racial wounds and the symolism of the election. Everyone in the media is fulfilling a fantasy by electing a symbol and they cannot allow that to be tarnished or tainted. So the media just ignores Ayers and Bombing Bernadine and other curiosities that a normal candidate of either party would have to explain. Barack Obama is charming and a stirring orator but what else? I don't know because the fourth estate abondoned the task of providing information and became a propagandist. Shame on them.

Panic Over 5.1% Unemployment

There is much wailing and gnashing of teeth in the media over the announced 5.1% unemployment rate.
Cassandras foretelling doom and depression. But some other calmer voices like Powerline note :

Actually, though, the unemployment rate in November 1996, when Clinton rode a soaring economy to victory, was 5.4%. That's right--three tenths of a percent higher than the "grim picture" of a "pink slip nation" painted by this month's unemployment report.

Associated Press Against Free Speech

The Associated Press is bullying a blogger (Snapped Shot ) for criticizing their photoshopped photographs. They are hiding behind Fair Use clauses and copyright laws but the truth is this is using a corporate legal staff to force a small independent voice to shut up because he cannot afford the legal costs of protecting his free speech rights. Isn't this the opposite of what a free press should be doing?

When I was going to school in the late 60's the free press and the universities were places that revered Individual rights, freedom of speech, and concepts like innocent until proven guilty. And we liked it that way.

Media Stocks Poor Performance Is Deserved

The Gateway Pundit explains at least one reason for the poor performance of media and publishing stocks relative to the market over the last 5 years. They cannot be trusted to report truthfully or comprehensively and thus no one on any side of an issue knows if what the media reports is even remotely factual. And... Is it really surprising that only 29% of Americans, Germans and Brits trust their media?

For those of you who don't read the article I want to point out for all these false stories no corrections have been issued by the media outlet that erroneously spread the story.

More Evidence Of How The Fourth Estate Has Become The Left Estate

Big media, especially print, continues to lose influence because of a persistent drift to the left. Every study I have seen measuring political leanings of individual members of print and electronic media show 80 to 90% vote and or contribute to the political left. Thus despite what may be good intentions, reporting almost inevitably is tainted by groupthink and tilts coverage to the left. Hoystory gives us an example in

The Beauchamp/TNR slander of American soldiers is merely one more instance of leftist gullibility when it comes to believing anything bad about America. ION MIHAI PACEPA a former communist intelligence officer writes the following in the Wall Street Journal Opinion page:

It is humiliating because it is obvious that we media – and our allies in the state department, the legal trade, the NGOs, the Democratic Party, the UN, etc., - can’t do squat about such determined use of force.

Our words, images, arguments and skills can’t stop the killing. Only the rough soldiers and their guns can solve the problem, and we won’t admit that fact because the admission would weaken our influence and our claim to social status.

He might have included the communist party, klu klux klan, or the nazis, or any other grup of lying propagandists. i would much prefer to think media bias comes arises naturally from strong political views than from simple greed and lack of integrity.
